IJL Gemmology Seminars

Advanced Gemmology Seminars offered at the International Jewellery London Show

For the first time ever GIA London will be offering a series of Gemmology Seminars as updates for gem and jewellery professionals at IJL 2008, the UK's only dedicated jewellery event.

A fully equipped GIA classroom will be set up for the duration of the show to provide exhibitors and visitors with the unique opportunity of enrolling in a GIA class and learning new practical skills without leaving the show premises in Earls Court.

If it has been a while since you have studied Diamond Grading or Gemmology, it may be time for an update. The Gemmology Seminars are predominately hands-on labs with a range of relevant gemstones and microscopes provided. They are ideal for jewellers and gemmologists seeking to broaden or refine their diamond grading and gem identification skills. They also provide up-to-date information on new treatments and synthetics. You will practise grading or identifying a variety of diamonds or coloured stones that feature different characteristics and that have been previously graded by the GIA Lab.

On every day of the show, there will be at least one seminar available for you to attend. On the first three days we will be concentrating on Diamonds, while the seminars on the last 2 days of the show will be focused on Coloured Stones.

Don't miss this unique opportunity. Enrol early to avoid disappointment as class size is limited.

If you require any further information on these seminars, please contact GIA London directly.
