Quick Design
Increase your professionalism by quickly and efficiently learning the basic skills in presentation of jewellery designs.
Through personalised step-by-step instruction, you learn to communicate designs effectively with bench jewellers, colleagues and customers. You are guided how to make realistic presentations with coloured pencils, stencils and equipment which are yours to keep. These professional design illustration techniques help you translate ideas into reality.
Class Highlights
- Draft layouts of gemstones and metal parts
- Learn to communicate metal shapes and gemstone cuts using coloured pencils
- Use of stencils and basic design equipment
- Learn different presentation techniques based on your audience
- Learn different stone setting styles
All necessary equipment provided including pens, pencils, paper and stencils.
Previous sketching experience beneficial but not essential. This class provides a solid foundation for students wishing to take GIA's 9-week Jewelry Design Programme.
