The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is pleased to offer an award for its School of Gemmology in London.
The Annual Award of £1,000 is possible thanks to the generosity of Hirsh London.

Who can apply and when?
- The award competition is only open to Graduates from any GIA Diploma Programme from GIA London's School of Gemmology from the previous year. For the 2009 Award, only graduates from Jan 1st - Dec 31st, 2008 may apply.
- The 2009 Award Competition Application Forms will be available from end of April till the 30th of June 2009. All applicants must submit their application by close of business day (5pm) on Tuesday 30th of June. Applications and supporting materials submitted before or after these dates will not be considered for the Award.
- The winner will be informed on or before the 31st of July 2009. If you have not heard from us by this date, please assume your application was not successful.
- GIA and Hirsh London staff or immediate family members are not eligible to apply. All applicants must fully disclose any business relationships they have with GIA and/or Hirsh London.
What is needed to apply?
- In order to apply you must submit a completed Application Form and Letter of Recommendation as described in the Application Form instructions.
- Applications are judged by the Scholarship Committee. The Committee's decision is final. Application forms will not be returned after a decision has been made.
