New GIA Distance Education Quarterly Is Available Online

The Gemological Institute of America's (GIA) latest Distance Education Quarterly, which focuses on the importance of diamond know-how, is now available online.

The latest issue of the Distance Education Quarterly features several multi-media components that emphasize the importance of knowing the basics and beyond of diamonds. Flash videos and media from GIA eLearning course materials discuss fair trade, how to get into the industry and an interactive diamond grading scale.

GIA offers programs, courses and Lab classes necessary for students to pursue a career in gemology. This Distance Education Quarterly has several short articles on industry topics, such as the importance of leaving a legacy, the value behind the Four Cs, the top reasons for a career in jewelry and facts about the most precious stone on earth. The most up-to-date domestic and international Lab class schedules are also included.
